Transcriptions

I love to transcribe antique music at the computer and make editions of it. It then becomes very useful when I get to play and study it. I am specializing in the Bolognese music of the Baroque period, but I do study music from all around Italy and Europe.
The three Mottetti for solo voice you find below are from Cazzati’s raccoltas, ad all date from the period when he was maestro di cappella in Bologna.
- Dulcis Amor, for canto (or tenor) solo and basso continuo;
- Stillae sparse per me, for bass and basso continuo;
- Ad tubas, for canto (or tenor) and basso continuo (quite unfinished, it still lacks the continuo numbers).
This is the complete edition of Cazzati’s Trattenimenti per Camera, secular music that is composed probably for a masked ball during his bolognese period.
The above files can be also found at the Werner Icking Music Archive. The archive has really some nice stuff, check it out!
